Connecting families with trusted educators for flexible childcare

I have two young kids (9 months and 3 years) and it's hard to find a caregiver I can trust. sachi is a game changer because I know my kids are in the hands of trusted educators -- not only are they pre-vetted in a credible way, but they are doing so much more than just watching my kids... I know they are nurturing, challenging, and fostering my kids' understanding of the world in everyday moments. As a bonus, sachi educators have such a wealth of knowledge about early childhood education that I am always learning more about how to better support my own kids in their development.

We recently asked one of sachi’s educators to look after our children (6 and 9 years old) while we went out with friends. I haven’t felt more myself in years because I didn’t feel any nagging worry about how my children were doing! Trusting someone in your house with the care of the people most precious to me is no small thing. As an educator and a parent I put a lot of time and effort into making thoughtful and intentional decisions about how to nurture my children’s joy, kindness, creativity, resilience etc. When I need care for my kids, I feel much more at ease and able to be present in what I need or want to do when I know that my kids are being looking after by someone who has thought as much as I have about children’s development.

I can’t tell you what a comfort it is to have an educator watching our daughter Sloane. [She] is so attuned that she even understands the best way to pat Sloane on the back at bedtime. Having someone who doesn’t just “babysit” but who also understands child development through real, professional experience means that Sloane doesn’t *just* get good care (although she definitely gets that) - she also gets a long-term, attached relationship with someone who is deeply invested in her and knowledgeable about her needs as a growing little human.

For the past year, we’ve relied on sachi’s educators to watch our two young children (1 and 3.5 years old) anytime we’ve gone out. The professionalism, warmth, and experience of educators ensures that our children are engaged and thrilled with the evening. Those same traits enable my husband and I to really relax throughout the evening—and that peace of mind really ends up as an investment in our family. We’re so grateful to have this type of quality care in our lives.

I am a parent as well as currently being a teacher in San Francisco and I recently reached out to sachi’s network for last minute care for my daughter (9) on a school in-service day. While the teacher I reached out to wasn’t available, I felt so much safer having another referral made because I knew that they had a similar educational background and training. It felt easier to make and schedule babysitting for my child because the other teacher we were connected with was able to provide their history and training around working with a variety of children. I felt reassured when they asked all the right questions in preparation for meeting and spending the day with my child. Connecting at the end of the day, it was clear that my daughter had had a stimulating day full of learning opportunities that would not have happened without a teacher’s foundation!
