All of the educators on our platform are trained and licensed and have real world experience teaching and caring for children in a professional environment.

Why I founded sachi
Hi! I’m Saachi. I spent the last decade working in schools across the Bay Area. My passion as an educator was building strong connections between parents and educators.
Although I loved teaching, I quickly realized that it wasn’t financially viable to exist solely on a teacher’s salary. Like other educators, I turned to babysitting because it was an extension of my skills and a way for me to continue learning and growing by engaging with families in their homes.
What I found was that there was not sufficient resources for me in place as a babysitter, and I found that my experience in the classroom was not valued on various care sites. This experience lead me to create sachi, which I hope will bridge the gap between parents and educators and create a platform of mutual support.

What types of services do sachi educators provide?
Our educators offer a range of services including tutoring and caregiving that focuses on activities that have direct learning outcomes. After a period of time (and with your approval), educators can also take your child on enriching field trips.
Why does sachi cost more than other childcare platforms?
All of our providers are trained educators with real-world teaching experience. We believe that this enables them to provide the top level of care for your child. All educators also undergo a thorough vetting process, including continuous background checks. Our higher standards reflect the level of care and expertise we provide, ensuring your child is in the best hands.
