Partnering with Checkr allows us to implement a fair, consistent, and thorough screening process, ensuring educators meet sachi’s high standards for safety and trustworthiness before becoming accessible to families. This commitment to rigorous vetting provides essential peace of mind for the families who rely on sachi. While sachi facilitates connections, all educators operate as independent contractors.
What does Checkr look for?
Our comprehensive screening goes beyond basic checks to create a detailed picture of an educator’s background, ensuring multiple layers of safety:
- County Criminal Search (Last 7 Years)
- National Criminal Search (Standard)
- Professional License
- Verification (Pre-K Permit or K-12 Teaching License)
- Sex Offender Search
- SSN Trace
- Global Watchlist Search
- (OPTIONAL) Motor Vehicle Report
If educators are planning to drive children at any point during care sessions, whether they own their vehicle or not, they are required to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
How does the Checkr process work?
Upon profile completion on sachi, you are redirected in-app to complete your background check. Checkr is a secure and safe platform, no information provided during the background check process will be stored on the sachi platform. Once a Checkr background check has been processed and cleared, educators will have their account activated and visible in the Educator Listings area and are ready to care for children.
